Reflexology
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a safe, effective and relaxing holistic treatment. It involves applying pressure to points on the feet, which correspond
to every organ and structure in the body.
The reflexologist can detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet and by working on these points, they can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body.
Reflexology's popularity is partly due to its non-invasiveness; only the bare feet are manipulated while you lay back fully clothed.
What Happens at a treatment?
At the first session a short consultation is taken to access your current state of health. Each treatment begins and ends with a relaxing foot massage. There may be some slight discomfort in places during the treatment itself, but it is fleeting and is an indication of congestion and imbalance in the corresponding part of the body. For the most part, the sensation is pleasant and soothing.
Reflexology can bring relief to a wide range of acute and chronic conditions and is suitable for all ages.
Reflexology can be carried out on the hands if preferred.
A course of treatments may be recommended depending on your body's needs.
How much does it cost?
A Reflexology session with Catherine costs €45 and lasts 1 hour.
Does my health insurance cover any of the cost of Reflexology?
Catherine is a fully registered Reflexologist. Members of Quinn Healthcare, VIVAS health and VHI can claim against the cost of their Reflexology treatments.
